PROVECHO - Dining Plate

This piece highlights orange clay, a material deeply rooted in the history of Mexican cuisine, just like other objects from the SOBREMESA collection. By utilizing this specific type of ceramic that is so characteristic of traditional Mexican cookware, the design revives a familiar and nostalgic texture, translating it beautifully into a contemporary context.

The concept reimagines the conventional plate by introducing a meaningful ritual of discovery to the dining experience. When brought to the table, a central lid initially conceals the main course, creating an engaging element of surprise and anticipation before the meal even begins.

Once removed, this lid reveals its clever dual purpose: it functions as a bowl for traditional liquid starters, like soups or creams, while a separate cavity gracefully holds the side dish. By accommodating a three-course meal in a single object, the piece's organic forms evoke the dynamism, closeness, and warmth that define the Mexican culture of sharing. Ultimately, it embodies its name (PROVECHO) by capturing the exact moment when nourishment ceases to be merely food and becomes a profound act of hospitality.

PRESENTE - Reflection Stones

More than an object, it is a physical pause. Crafted from tactile stone and wood, these three small pieces are designed to be held, interrupting the daily rush to ground you in the current moment. They quiet distractions, inviting you back to the table, the conversation, and one another.
