FIELD is an interactive, wind-powered installation exhibited at Stadshuisplein. The audience is invited to bring turbines to life by directing them into the breeze, adding to a landscape of visual rhythms; highlighting the meditative power of nature.
Meditative power of nature
FIELD is an interactive installation exhibited at Stadshuisplein, Eindhoven. It is a celebration of wind power and brings awareness to our natural surroundings, highlighting the invisible energy present in everyday life.
Visitors will experience a series of large wind turbines, each on individual rotating structures. They are invited to interact and turn the structures toward the wind, activating the turbines. Each person collectively plays a part in one, large ever-changing landscape that feels alive, autonomous and full of energy.
The installation initiates communal play, whilst ultimately having a calming and sensory effect on the audience, sharing the meditative power of natural forces, drawing people into the present. Stand and watch the visual rhythms change throughout the day, reacting to the weather and the effect of the human hand.
