Form Follows Curiosity

An evolving archive of tactile objects that invite touch, imagination and encounter

Form Follows Curiosity HKU Exposure

What potential can an object reveal when you explore its boundaries? ‘Form follows curiosity’ is a growing archive of intuitive material research, where shape, color and texture are explored. Each object invites interaction and offers new perspectives.

Objects in dialogue

For her graduation project, Willemijn created 'Form follows curiosity', a growing 3D archive of tactile objects and material experiments. Each object emerges intuitively, through play, curiosity, and exploration of form, color, texture, and movement. By placing the objects in different contexts – as an installation, research tool or invitation for interaction – their meaning shifts, and new stories continuously unfold.

About Willemijn van Cuijk

Willemijn recently graduated as a Spatial Designer at HKU. She works intuitively and playfully, collecting and combining fascinating materials while exploring form, texture, color, and movement. By blending refinement and spontaneity, she creates installations and objects that are visually and tactilely inviting. For her, designing is an ongoing dialogue with material, space, and the viewer, intended to evoke wonder and personal engagement.
